London Olympics is going to give a rise to the boxing history of India

Vijender Singh India’s star performer of boxing expects boxing history will be rewritten after this London Olympics. Beijing games have given a good start to his success history where he was awarded with the bronze in 2008.

 He claimed “Boxing became big after Beijing Olympics and it will get bigger after London.” He further added that he don’t want to give any guess regarding the number of medals India going to win through boxing in London Olympics. But the entire team will do their level best. When spoke to the media the former world’s number one boxer quoted “Now the Boxing History has greatly improved with the continuous victory in boxing and money”.

 To be frank now more and more youngsters started to show their interest in boxing. Even school children are taking up the boxing training. It’s actually a good start and it’s getting better every year. Vijender, waiting to qualify in the London Olympics said at present his focus is on the games and it’s not anything beyond.

According to official sources he is about to participate in Asian Olympic Qualifiers (Venue Kazakhstan). Vijender Singh said “Giving marks to sports will help sportspersons take to studies and I hope sports can be a subject in schools in future”. Now the view of sport especially about boxing has been changed among the parents over the years. Vijendar welcomes the schools initiative of making the sport as a subject in schools. In fact many schools have started to allocate marks for sports too…
